RE: Semi-Dedicated Hosting
Okay, we're looking into this.
Here are a couple of questions: If we were to create a reseller semi dedicated, we would have to limit the number of accounts each reseller could create. If we don't, the server could have as many accounts as a traditional reseller server, which defeats the purpose. We would limit the number of reseller accounts to 10 per server (that's how many we would sell). That would mean each person would be allowed to use 1/10th of the cpu and RAM. The disk space and bandwidth (determined by the server we procure) would be divided by 10 as well. We'd be looking at a quad-core with minimum of 4GB of bandwidth. Now here's the hard part, how many accounts should we allow per reseller? If we go 10 per reseller that's a total of 100 shared accounts plus 10 reseller accounts for a total of 110 accounts on the server. If we allow 20 accounts per reseller, that's a total of 200 shared accounts plus 10 reseller accounts for a total of 210 accounts. Which would you prefer? Next question: we'd be looking at a price of around $40 per month. Is that too steep for a reseller with a limited number of accounts? Keep in mind the average cost of a quality server is around $300/month. Each account would come with 1 dedicated IP address for you to use. The server would be provisioned with DirectAdmin and Installatron. Would you want it to run on Apache or LiteSpeed (LS adds $50 to the cost of the server per month). We would not be able to guarantee you a specific data-center location. We'd be looking for the best price we could get. General markets we look at are Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Kansas City, Dallas/Houston, Atlanta, NY/New Jersey, and Florida. To be honest, if you're in the US, it really doesn't matter the location. It's a matter of milliseconds if it's a reputable DC. How many of you would be interested in purchasing such an account as soon as we were to open it up to sales if we were to open it this month? We would need at least 7 to commit to open an account to make it financially feasible. How many of you are interested in purchasing a semi-dedicated account, but not a reseller account? You'd only want a regular shared-hosting account. Continue to leave your comments and suggestions in this thread and we will read them all with hopes of bringing this product to you guys. RE: Semi-Dedicated Hosting
25 accounts per server is better than low-end VPS accounts by a large margin.

RE: Semi-Dedicated Hosting
I just want to ask is whether it true that the "Semi-Dedicated Servers offer more server resources, allowing you to run medium traffic comprehensive websites as well as complex scripts."

RE: Semi-Dedicated Hosting
It is still shared hosting, but because fewer clients are placed on the server, there are more resources to SHARE. If any one client monopolizes more than their fair share of resources, they would be asked to upgrade to a VPS or dedicated server.
